Curry House - The Bass Studio
After years of doing sessions at outside recording studios, Doug's home studio in Los Angeles was built in 2006 to record his solo album. Check the column on the left side of this page to hear sample tracks from this album. Since the release of his album, Doug has been asked to record bass tracks at Curry House for other artists all over the world via Internet. The studio features ProTools software, a killer T.C. electronic mic pre, and a great variety of basses, amps and microphones for maximum tonal versatility. With Doug engineering the recordings himself, there is no need to pay extra for expensive studio time or engineer fees, and Doug's bass tracking rates are very reasonable. Please don't hesitate to contact Doug for a free consultation about bass tracks for your project.

| Life has been good since Doug started using Tune basses over 10 years ago. These instruments have all the great sound quality and beauty of custom hand made instruments, combined with the great playability of Japanese basses. The Kingbass now sports Alembic pickups and electronics, and is his "secret weapon" in the studio! |

More Basses
These instruments can cover just about any bass sound that the Tunes don't. The Kydd electric upright bass produces an amazingly full and rich wood bass sound, the 1972 Fender covers "old school" tones, and the Motif keyboard has some of the best synth bass sounds around (yes, Doug does keyboard bass tracks, also!).
